REQUEST FOR LETTERS OF INTEREST
FOR DESIGN/BUILD SERVICES
The City of Fairbury, Nebraska is soliciting Letters of Interest (LOI) from companies interested in providing Design/Build Services for the design and construction of the Fairbury Incubator Project. Located at 611 D Street, Fairbury, Nebraska.
The Project will consist of:
- Demolition of existing sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and street paving as needed to provide ADA compliance and required drive approaches.
- Preparation of the site for the proposed project.
- Connection to existing utilities.
- Design and construction of a one story, slab-on-grade, approximately 4300 square foot, office building.
- New sidewalks, curbs, gutters, street repair, approaches, drive aisles, rocked and paved parking areas.
- Building and site signage and parking striping as appropriate.
If the soliciting process is successful, the contract award is currently anticipated for March 18th 2025 with expected construction start date of June 30, 2025 and construction completion of May 1, 2026.
One Design/Builder will be selected for the entire project. The selection process will have two steps. Letters of Interest shall be reviewed by the City in consultation with the Performance Criteria Developer. The City shall select prospective design/builders in accordance with the procedures and standards set forth in City of Fairbury Resolution No. 1290. Selected design/builders will be requested to submit a proposal. A Request for Proposals will be issued on January 29th 2025. Design/Build proposals will be due March 3rd 2025. Responses will be evaluated and award will be made at the regular scheduled City Council Meeting on March 18th 2025.
The City of Fairbury is seeking Design/Builders that are committed to quality, have proven experience in the design and construction of similar projects, will bring innovative design/build approaches to ensure timely completion, and are willing to partner with the City for the mutual success of the project.

The LOI must state the name, address, phone, and email address of the person whom the City may contact at your company, to provide further information about the project.
The City reserves the sole right, without incurring any liability, to change any aspect of the proposed procurement described above, including the right to not proceed with the procurement and/or the right to proceed in a different manner or on a different timeline than as described above.
