Q&A for "I" Street Well - RFP

Q.) Can we view existing well & wellhouse?

A.) Yes just contact the city at 402-729-5261 ext. 2 and we can make arrangements for a tour.

Q.) How will the determination be made between well house demolition & new construction or addition to the existing structure?

A.) We expect condition of the existing wellhouse and well along with overall project price to play a major part in this decision which will ultimately be recommended on by the Water Committee and decided on by city Council.

Q.) Do you expect this project to be more management or oversight

A.) We are looking for oversight consistent with administration/observation services

Q.) Should we assume “full” time observation (i.e. 40 hours per week) during construction, or had you anticipated more part time observation?

A.) We would expect part time observation however, staff will not be dedicated to observation of this project so proposals that take into account additional observation time as needed by the hour would be recommended.

Q.) Can we get a copy of the City of Fairbury – Professional Services Agreement?  Is it OK to use a standard contract instead?

A.) The City of Fairbury – Professional Services Agreement can be found on the RFP webpage under links.  The city will consider exceptions to the City of Fairbury – Professional Services Agreement to include professional services agreements and/or contracts written and submitted by individual applicants.  These exceptions will be reviewed upon award and approved prior to contract execution.

Q.) Item IV(h) – is the intent that you want to see actual plans/specs, or did you intend to just have a list of projects?

A.) A list of projects will suffice.
