"Connecting the Dots" program is a simulation-type experience similar to the "game of life" where students learn about post-secondary options and workforce readiness.
"Connecting the Dots" with UNL Extension a program for 9th & 10th grade students. Approximately 180 students from the ESU 5 school district.
On April 28, 2025, the City of Fairbury took part in "Connecting the Dots" to represent different careers within the city. Representatives that participated was the Development Service Director, Wastewater Superintendent, and Water Superintendent. Each introduced themselves and talked with students in small groups about their careers, preparing for future work and about the Fairbury trade jobs available.
